My Book about ME

So I really wanted to create a keepsake that we could do at the beginning and end of each year ...

I had Eva do a good amount of letter sounds and writing practice whereas for Bubba I had him trace 1-2 letters a page ...

Started with the date ...

What they are thankful for ...

and ended with a God is fill in the blank ...

For the next page I had them write (or trace for bubs) their names & fill in how old they are....

I than handed them mirrors and asked them to look in them and than draw what they see....

Eva came to class as a butterfly today ....

But what she saw when she looked in the mirror was her surfing with her cat Matilda ...

We moved on with height...

Weight...

and what they love about themselves... both answered... themselves LOL

We chatted healthy eating and just how big they are getting ....

Than we built a house...

I pre cut a green rectangle...

A dark Blue square ...

and a light blue triangle...

we frayed the grass to practice some cutting ...

and glued it all together...

They than decorated our house with stamps and crayons before moving on to the painting fun...

Our "hands page" said My hands help us _______________.

They gave their answers and than we painted their hands and feet ..

They had fun ...

Giggled...

and threatened to touch each other with their paint limbs ...

Our "feet page had the same questions our feet help us to ______________.

Bubba said walk ... Eva said balance ...

Bubs was NOT down with any answer besides walk ... ha!

We let their creations dry ...

And than hole punched and used yarn scraps to tie up their books...
